Planning to list some solvent, Baby grooming and skincare, battery operated toys in FBA?

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FIRST IF THEY ARE CONSIDERED AS DANGEROUS GOODS OR NOT.

What are Dangerous Goods?

Dangerous goods (also called hazardous products) are substances or materials that might pose a risk while storing, handling or transporting because they contain flammable, pressurized, corrosive or otherwise harmful substances.

Amazon has a list of products which can fall into Dangerous Goods Category. https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/200525640

You can also check your ASIN to find out if the product you are trying to sell is considered as Dangerous Goods or not. Just enter the ASIN and hit next and it will show you if its classified as a dangerous good or not.
If its classified as dangerous goods you will be needing some additional information to list that item (Only if approved in FBA Dangerous Goods Hazmat Program).

  • UN number: If your product is regulated as dangerous good or hazardous material for transportation, indicate its UN number. This information can be found on the Safety Data Sheet or may be procured from the manufacturer.
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) URL: The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of your product can be procured from the manufacturer.
  • Product weight (kilograms): If your product is regulated as dangerous good or hazardous material for transportation, waste, and/or storage, you will have to indicate the products weight in kilograms.
  • Product volume (milliliters): If your product is regulated as dangerous good or hazardous material for transportation, waste, and/or storage, you will have to indicate the product’s volume in millilitres if it is a gas or liquid.
  • Flash point (°C): The flash point of a product determines its flammability. You will have to indicate the flash point of your product in degrees Celsius (ºC). This information can be found on the Safety Data Sheet or can be procured from the manufacturer.
  • Categorization/GHS pictograms: If your product is considered a dangerous good or hazardous material by GHS/CLP standards, you will have to select from the drop-down menu which pictogram(s) appears on your product’s packaging or Safety Data Sheet.

Note: If your product is battery operated, you will have to get battery information from your supplier as Amazon will ask you about battery details when you list it for FBA.
